Sharad Gupta worked with Industry for ten years before joining academics in year 2012. He worked in Industries of Software Consulting (Infosys and Accenture), Pharmaceuticals (Wockhardt) and Insurance (ICICI, Bharti AXA and Royal). In Industry, he has handled Strategic Planning, Corporate Alliances,
Channel Management, Cross Functional Team Management and Process Automations. His corporate designations included Senior Vice President, Regional Manager, Country Representative and Software Engineer. He received Certificate of Distinction and Certificate of Appreciation by ICICI and Bharti AXA respectively. He is a life member of All India Management Association and Delhi Management Association.

Sharad is an alumnus of IIT BHU and IIM Indore, and pursuing Ph.D. from Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi. He has keen interest in Research and contributes his research papers to acclaimed national and international conferences organized by IIMs, IITs, AIMA and other reputed Institutions. His current research area includes confluence of Mindfulness, Sustainability and Consumer Behavior. Besides, he has authored research papers for several journals of repute. He has published in a management magazine and has reviewed some articles for two Indian journals. As dedication to his industry experience, PHI publisher recently launched his book on “Principles and Systems of Insurance”.

Sharad uses different pedagogical techniques like problem based learning, case based learning, active class discussion, field research, problem solving exercises, presentations, etc. as required for active learning of students. Students engage as active participants in his classes and focus on learning the application of subject concepts. His teaching interests include Marketing Analytics, Business Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Marketing Management, Marketing Research and Digital Marketing. He engages in key institution building activities like accreditation, student activities, discipline, planning, etc.

Sharad conducted Management Development Program in association with PHD Chamber of Commerce on the topic – “Winning & Retaining Customers in Services Business”. He developed courses for Marketing Analytics, Consumer Behavior, Digital Marketing, Corporate Sales, Advanced Marketing Research, Business Marketing, Marketing Management, Integrated Leadership Perspective and Strategic Management – II. He attended several faculty development programs.
