Delhi School of Business, VIPS-TC recently organised a knowledge sharing session on the “Recent Development in E-Commerce Technology and Regulations”. The session was held online via MS Teams Meeting on 3rd September 2020. The guest speaker was Ms Deepa Tyagi, Head, TEC & Head, National Telecommunications Institute for Policy Research, Innovation & Training. An IIT and MDI Alumni, she has an illustrious career in the Telecom Industry. She shared the latest development in E-commerce technologies, including 5G, Internet of Things (IoT), and Artificial Intelligence. The students (Data Analytics Major) much appreciated updates on the recent development in regulations related to IT Act 2008, Consumer Act 2017, and E-commerce policy. The Q&A round clarified the doubt of the students.

Guest Lecture On Latest IT Trend and Use Cases
Delhi School of Business organised a knowledge sharing session on the “Latest IT Trend and Use Cases”. The session was held online via MS Teams Meeting on 24th August 2020.
The guest speaker was Mr. Mayank Kumar, AVP, Product Development, Newgen Software. An IIT and IIM Alumni, he has an illustrious career in the IT Industry. He shared his knowledge on the latest trends in Cloud Computing, Data Analytics, Mobile Computing and Customer Experience Design. The Q&A round clarified the doubt of the students. The students and the faculty much appreciate the session.
Delhi School of Business – VIPS TC held an online Convocation on 22 August 2020. 262 students from Batches 2016,2017 and 2018 were conferred PGDM Diplomas by the Chairman Dr. S.C. Vats as per presentation of Candidates by the Director General Dr. I.M. Pandey. Merit certificates were presented to the batch toppers.
The Annual Report presented by Dr. Shoma Mukherji, Chairperson-PGDM highlighted the activities of the Academic year 2019-20 like holding of a Transcontinental Conference in collaboration with 4 international universities, a number of conclaves and FDPs. The report mentioned research papers, books and book chapters published by faculty. Events organised by the Student Activity Clubs were highlighted. Corporate and Industry interactions for curriculum revisions and placements were also mentioned.
Ms. Shivi Raweri, Topper- Batch 2017-19 spoke on behalf of the students and explained how DSB helped in her holistic development.
Chief Guest Dr. Yogesh Singh, Vice Chancellor, Delhi Technical University delivered an inspiring and value-based Convocation Address which reminded graduating students of their responsibility towards society and the importance of remaining connected to their roots.
Students were indeed happy and thanked the faculty for making the online convocation a success despite the difficulties of the pandemic situation.
