The DAIVYA Club of Delhi School of Business is basically emphasizing on two objectives. First to make a difference for a better present and future. It works to empower, motivate and encourage people to bring change in the society. The goal is to make peace, increase education and be the voice of those who cannot advocate themselves.

Secondly, this club invites everyone to join as a voice of the society. The club believes in unity and team spirit are the basic need to achieve any objective.

Independence Day Donation Drive 

SAC cordially invited everyone to participate in the celebration of the “76th Independence Day” completing 75 years of Azaadi. The event was coordinated by ‘Daivya’ the Social Club Of DSB. The event was held on 15th August 2022 at 12 pm and involved a donation for the underprivileged people around us.The event received an overwhelming response, and the donations were used to bring smiles to the faces of underprivileged people. Daivya Club purchased various items like food, notebooks, pens, masks, clothes, etc. A team of volunteers went to the underprivileged people and distributed the gifts. The happiness experienced by them made Independence Day extra special for everyone.

Christmas Donation Drive

SAC organised a ‘Christmas Donation Drive’ on December 23, 2021. The event was coordinated by ‘Daivya’ the Social Club Of DSB. Faculty, staff and students of DSB were invited to donate money and gift items for the underprivileged children of Sahyog Day Care, Mangolpuri, Delhi. The DSB family donated generously to bring a smile on the faces of 60 children of this NGO. Daivya club purchased lays, fruti, notebooks, pens, masks, muffins, samosas, soaps, cake, coats, and mufflers from the monetary donation received. A team of 6 students( Batch 2021-23 : Hardika Narula, Deepali Jain, Ujjwal Thakur, Monika Narang, Parul Thakar, and Udit Sharma) went to sahyog Day Care and distributed the gifts and celebrated Christmas with the children. The happiness experienced by these children made Christmas extra special for each one of us at DSB.

Diwali Donation Drive

SAC organised a ‘Diwali Donation Drive’ on November 1, 2021. The event was coordinated by ‘Daivya’ the Social Club Of DSB. Faculty, staff and students of DSB were invited to donate money, stationary items, clothes etc. for the underprivileged children of Sahyog Day Care, Mangolpuri, Delhi. The DSB family donated generously to bring a smile on the faces of 50 children of this NGO. Daivya club purchased diyas, sweets and other food items from the monetary donation received. A team of 9 students( Batch 2020-22 : Mrinal Singh, Vedant Malhotra, Piyush Munjal, Pulkit Goel, Arbaz, Akshit; Batch 2021-23 – Yatika, Parul, Anika) went to sahyog Day Care on November 1, 2021 and distributed sweets, samosas, fruits, chips etc. The happiness experienced by these children made Diwali extra special for each one of us at DSB.

International Yoga Day 

A workshop on ‘Meditation and Yoga for Healthy Living’ was also organised on June 21, 2021 at 5 PM by Science of Spirituality in association with Delhi School of Business, VIPS-TC. The one-hour workshop enlightened the participants on how to eliminate stress and anxiety and achieve physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. The power of yoga and techniques to practise meditation were also shared in the workshop. The photos of the workshops are attached herewith.

Environment Awareness Campaign

The DAIVYA Club of Delhi School of Business is basically emphasizing on two objectives. First to make a difference for a better present and future. It works to empower, motivate and encourage people to bring change in the society. The goal is to make peace, increase education and be the voice of those who cannot advocate themselves. The Student Affairs Council of Delhi School of Business organised an Environment Awareness Campaign during July 19 – 28, 2021. The theme of the campaign was: Plantation Drive/ Reduce-Reuse-Recycle. ‘Daivya’ – the social club invited photos (based on the theme) from faculty, staff and students.

Clothes Donation Drive

The HR club of Delhi School of Business organized an interactive session ‘Building the future’ with the alumnus on August 18, 2020, to enrich the students of current batches with corporate insights and help them prepare for what lies ahead for them, in various industries. The invited alumnus included Monal Nagpal (Batch: 2014-2016) and Joywant Bhatiya (Batch: 2015- 2017). Monal Nagpal, after having completed her PGDM in the fields of HR and Marketing, Monal has an experience of working with Concentrix and is currently working with Marks and Spencer.

Plantation Drive

Talking in circles’ is an exercise that is designed to improve communication and listening skills. A total of 6 teams participated with zeal in the event. Each team was asked to stand in circle around a long piePlantation helps in getting cleaner air, cleaner water, acts at a natural filter, controls temperature. `Daivya’ club had initiated a Plantation Drive on 26th August, 2020 where not only students but also their family members participated, in order to make our planet a better place to live.

Namaste Mind

The social club ‘Daivya’ organized its first event-` Namaste Mind’ on 8th August 2020. It was an online interactive session on wellness of body, mind and soul Dr. Rashmi Sharma, who has conducted several trainings on stress management and mindfulness with leading Government ministries and PSUs, enlightened the batch PGDM 2019-21 students with her wisdom and knowledge about the overall wellbeing of the person. She interacted with the students and asked them to do introspection about symptoms and causes of stress in their lives. They participants shared their stress areas through the self-evaluation exercises and identified the coping strategies. The essence of the session was ‘Be kind to yourself and kind to others.
