We held an enlightening Panel Discussion on the Union Budget 2022. We were honoured to have Dr. S. C. Vats, Chairman of VIPS, as our Guest of Honour and our Director, Dr. Rajiv R Thakur, delivered a thought-provoking theme address that set the tone for the evening. Prof. Sidharth Mishra, Chairperson VIMC, VSIT, Vivekananda Research Centre, skillfully steered the discussion as our Moderator. Leading the panel of esteemed speakers was Dr. Jagadish Shettigar, Professor Emeritus of Economics at BIMTECH and Member of the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council (2000-04). The distinguished panel also included Mr. Arun Kumar, Malcom Adiseshiah Professor from the Institute of Social Science at Jawaharlal Nehru University (Retd.), Dr. Rajat Kathuria, Dean of School of Humanities & Social Sciences and Professor of Economics at Shiv Nadar University, Mr. T K Arun, a Senior Journalist and Ex-Editor of the Opinion section at The Economic Times, Mr. Abheek Barua, Chief Economist at HDFC Bank Ltd, Dr. Vijay Sardana, an Advocate at the Supreme Court of India and Corporate Advisor, Mr. Sunil Pant, Independent Director at the Board of Supervision, Ghazaniar Bank, Kabul, and Mr. Rishi Raj, Executive Editor at Financial Express.
