Delhi School of Business successfully organized an ICSSR Sponsored One-Day Conference on Entrepreneurship & Sustainable Tourism for Vision Viksit Bharat @ 2047, bringing together academicians, researchers, and industry experts for insightful deliberations. The conference featured engaging discussions on sustainability, governance, cultural preservation, and innovation in the tourism sector.

Dr. Andrea Caputo, Professor of Strategy and Negotiation at the University of Lincoln (UK) and the University of Trento (Italy), shared valuable insights on impactful academic publishing. Keynote addresses by Dr. Rattan Sharma, Faculty at DSB and Chairperson, Centre of Sustainable Development, and Dr. Richa Sharma, Deputy Director, ICSSR, highlighted governance, social equity, and sustainable tourism practices. Dr. Prof. Nimit Chowdhary, Professor of Tourism, Faculty of Management Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia, emphasized the significance of experiential tourism for all stakeholders.

Industry perspectives were shared by Mr. Nawal Kumar, former Taj professional, entrepreneur, and hospitality consultant, while Dr. Uday Chatterjee, Faculty, Department of Geography, Bhatter College, West Bengal, discussed the importance of preserving indigenous communities. The technical sessions addressed environmental sustainability, socio-economic dimensions, technological innovations, and governance frameworks.

Dr. Meghna Chhabra, Conference Convenor and Principal Investigator, presented key project insights on sustainable tourism, stressing stakeholder collaboration, environmental conservation, and the adoption of triple bottom line and circular economy principles. She also highlighted the role of digital technologies and policy reforms in fostering entrepreneurial innovation.

With 42 abstracts and 29 paper presentations from institutions across India, the conference served as a vibrant platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration. The event concluded with best paper awards and discussions on aligning tourism growth with Vision Viksit Bharat @ 2047 while preserving cultural heritage.
